This morning, I am thankful for Remembrance Day here in Canada, and the reminder of the men and women who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of this country. I am quite aware of the fact that I live in a free country; a country where I am free to worship, free to do many things. I am particularly thankful that we continue to observe the day here in Canada. The surviving veterans from the first two World Wars are getting fewer and fewer, but I am thankful that there are those who continue to remind us. I am very proud of the legacy that the soldiers of this country have left behind.
I am also thankful for the young men of this country who serve in our Armed Forces. A former Sunday school student of mine currently serves in Afghanistan.
See lots of thankful thoughts at Rebecca's.
I watched this video on the weekend by Terry Kelly. I thought it was worth sharing.
You can find out more about the artist here. He has quite a story.
