Kim at Hiraeth tagged me for this meme:
1. Post a picture or make/take/create your own that captures that about which YOU are most passionate for students to learn.
2. Give your picture a short title.
3. Title your blog post “Meme: Passion Quilt.”
4. Link back to this blog entry.
I am also supposed to "tag" 5 other educators, but I am not going to do that just because I'm a little pressed for time today.
I have always liked this picture below, by Jean-Baptiste Greuze, but I have never really been sure of the title. I think it is called "The Head of the Family Reading the Bible to His Children," but if someone can correct that, I would like to hear it's exact title.
This is what I am most passionate about as a teacher: hearing and learning God's Word. I'm not very creative, so I found a picture by someone who obviously was.
I like how the one woman is leaning on her arm on the table; engrossed. That is what I want to be by God's Word, and I love to see students do the same thing.
