Thankful for assurance

Last night, after our youth group was finished, I was heading out to the parking lot with my kids and a couple others who needed a ride home. One of the young people told me that a woman from our church had just passed away that night.

Last night, a 40 year old woman from my church, who lived alone, was found dead in her house. We were all kind of stunned.

I believe this lady had health problems. She was a sweet person. I didn't know her well, but any time I ever talked to her, I really found her to be a sensitive, kind person. Her parents must be devestated. No one is sure what the cause of death was. She was quite overweight, and I know she had health issues.

Today, this lady named Tammy, is in the presence of her Saviour. I know that.

If had been me, I would be in the presence of my Saviour. I am thankful today for this assurance. I am thankful that her parents can find comfort in that.
