Random music meme

Rebecca did this meme today, and I always like to copy my favourite bloggers, so here goes. Here are the instructions from her blog:

Get your ipod or media-player of choice, select your whole music collection, set the thing to shuffle (i.e., randomized playback), then post the first ten songs that come out. No cheating, no matter how stupid it makes you feel!

Marta's Dance/The Russian Dervish - Bill Whelan. This comes from the soundtrack to Riverdance. I also have the soundtrack for Lord of the Dance, which was compsed by Ronan Hardiman. Love that pop-Celtic sound.

French Perfume - Great Big Sea. From the recording Sea of No Cares.

Get to You - Aiyesha Woods. We saw her sing with tobyMac at a concert in December. She's a great singer.

New Law - Derek Webb, from his CD Mockingbird. Yes, the former Caedmon's Call member who now apparently angers mainstream Christian radio. Actually, I can see why, but this song is very good.

Life is a Highway - Rascal Flatts. Tom Cochrane is the original artist of this song, and I don't like his version, either. When this song comes on, I move to the next.

Winds of Change - Kutless. This is one of those "Christian" bands. I like the lead singer's voice, and although the words are often vague, they're not despairing and dismal.

What it Means - Jeremy Camp. I just love the sound of this guy's voice, so pretty much everything he sings is enjoyable to me.

L'Autunno - Vivaldi from The Four Seasons.

She Gets Down - Jim Cuddy. Member of the Canadian group Blue Rodeo. Smooth voice. He's the only reason I like the sound of Blue Rodeo, so when his solo work came out, I put it on my Christmas list.

Concerto in E Flat Major - Mozart Wind Concerti.
